In view of the reported Air Quality Index (AQI) of 180, classified as Very Unhealthy, all levels in public and private schools in Lapu-Lapu City will suspend face-to-face classes on Monday, October 12, 2026.
Schools shall implement asynchronous learning or other appropriate learning modalities in accordance with DepEd/CHED guidelines.
Oponganons, especially children, senior citizens, and individuals with respiratory or heart conditions, are advised to stay indoors as much as possible and avoid strenuous outdoor activities. If going outside is necessary, wear a well-fitted N95 or KN95 mask to reduce exposure to fine particles.
